Methodology & sources

Explain the path. Show the source. Respect the boundary.

Insurance is consequential and state-specific. This product organizes preparation using visible rules and authoritative consumer guidance. It does not hide recommendations inside a score.

01

Begin with exposure

The Compass looks at broad facts such as housing, vehicles, dependents, work, assets, and life changes. It does not ask for underwriting details or sensitive identifiers.

02

Map to conversations

Each answer activates a written rule. Owning a home surfaces reconstruction, valuation, deductible, liability, and hazard-gap questions. Driving surfaces liability, first-party, vehicle, and household-driver questions.

03

Explain every result

The result states why it appeared and which decisions to discuss. There is no suitability score, premium estimate, coverage limit calculation, or carrier ranking.

04

Hand off responsibly

The user takes the plan and proposal comparison to policy documents, official state resources, and a properly licensed agent or insurer.

Decision boundaries

What the system does and does not infer.

Financial dependentsIncome, caregiving, debt, time-horizon, and beneficiary questionsA benefit amount, product type, or underwriting outcome

Source register

Primary guidance used in this version.

Mutable guidance is reviewed before public launch and on a regular operating schedule. State-specific rules remain linked to official state departments rather than copied into a static national database.

Commercial integrity

Useful before commercial.

This private review version has no paid placements, sponsored rankings, carrier relationships, lead sales, payments, or referral compensation.

The recommended primary model is a fixed software subscription paid by a licensed independent agency for a neutral preparation workspace. The consumer receives a full result before any contact request, and nothing is shared until the consumer chooses the fields and recipient.

Possible secondary models are a paid household annual-review workspace and employer or affinity access that returns no individual data to the sponsor. Referrals are not the core model. Any future referral would require state-specific legal review, explicit consumer initiation, and conspicuous compensation disclosure.
